Model Railroad Museum

Every Tuesday of the month a different museum is free at Balboa Park. Unfortunately, we have lived here for four years and have NEVER utilized this wonderful offer for San Diego residence until this month! My dear friend Laena and I took our little munchkins to the Model Railroad Museum and it was so cool!!! Brooke loved looking at all the trains and I couldn't believe how big it was. Afterwards we had a picnic on the grass in the beautiful park.

I am so blessed by Laena and her family. God is truly amazing and he continues to show me his grace and love through friends like them. This verse truly reminds me of the wonderful friends that I have been blessed with recently.

3Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:3-11

My friends are an example of this verse to me everyday. I know this totally turned into a different post, but oh well!

Reading to Us

Lately Brooke has wanted to read to mommy and daddy. It is pretty cute! Here is a couple videos from tonight. At the end of one of them she tells that she needs to go potty. I was surprised since she had a diaper on. She is doing a great job with potty training and hasn't had an accident at our house since the first day. She did have two accidents while playing at a friend's house though, it is so hard to stop to pee with so many different toys!!!!!

She says pee and we aren't sure what she is saying until the end.

I don't know if you can one hear, but at one point she says, "The napping house where everyone sleeping."

Brooke's Summer

She doesn't get out of this car when we go over to our friend's house.

This has been a very busy summer for the Ferguson's. Brooke did a great job handling all the travels and change. She is growing up so fast and is talking and singing all the time. We tell Brooke to tell us that she loves us, but a month ago she said on her own, "Disneyland, I love it!" She now tells us that she loves us all the time. We are currently in the process of potty training and I think it is going very well. Only time will tell...

After a quick Target run, I ended up getting her a Cinderella doll and broom. She wanted to hold everything

She loves to wear her glasses. We found this toy at a garage sale for a $1. Brooke loves trains!

Having fun with the camera! Love that smile!

Our friends Matt and Brenna Bomar were married on July 3rd in Leavenworth, Washington. Kyle was in the wedding and we decided to make a little vacation out of it. We left Brooke with my parents for five days and took a road trip from Fresno, CA to Medford, OR. Then to Camas, WA and ended up in Leavenworth, WA. Kyle and I had a great time! We had yummy food, nice accommodations, beautiful sights and great company!

Brooke did a great job with my parents for 5 days, but it was a hard adjustment for us. By the third day we were working harder on relaxing and enjoying one another.

The wedding was beautiful and we had a blast visiting and dancing with old friends!
